About Me.
"You're not the best artist," my mom used to say. I internalized this and never looked back at the creative side I left behind. Instead, I chose to study chemistry, political science, and law. There was no room for creative intellectual pursuits in my academic career. Until now.
After fifteen years in academia, I decided to retire from the Leeds School of Business as Associate Chair and Senior Instructor in the Accounting & Business Law Division at the Leeds School of Business, the University of Colorado, Boulder. I had done everything I could do in the role and achieved all that I set out to achieve. But I was bored. I was tired of teaching the same thing over and over. More than that, over the years, the students became more aggressive and frankly, scary. Either they changed or I did, but teaching no longer sparked the same level of joy it once did.
When I retired, I thought about returning to practicing law. I have remained an actively licensed attorney in the State of Colorado for over 20 years. I am admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States and within the State of Colorado. I began her legal career as a summer associate and associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Denver office, during which time I did work for Gibson Dunn’s Denver, Los Angeles, and D.C. offices. Following Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, I held two, permanent federal clerkships in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

I continue to advise startups and small businesses on employment law and contract issues. While I enjoy helping people navigate their business and legal issues, I decided I wanted to apply what I knew to my own creative endeavors.

But ultimately, the universe had a funny way of pushing me here.
